So today is 18 days before we leave,  No hiking / training since it was a busy weekend.

I did decided to inventory my backpack.  this is what I have so far…

  • MEC Equatorial sleeping bag
  • Sea to Summit silk liner
  • MEC Back pack pillow
  • MEC 60L backpack cover
  • North End all climate nylon jacket (with the Undermount logo of course)
  • Columbia quick dry zipper pants
  • Denver Hayes light long pants
  • Dryware sleeping pants
  • 2 MEC quick dry shorts
  • 2 Short sleeved drywear shirts
  • Sleeveless Drywear shirt
  • Elements thin fleece long sweater
  • MEC Long sleeved merino wool shirt
  • 2 pairs light hiking socks
  • 2 pairs thick hiking socks
  • 2 pairs drywear underwear
  • 1 pair merino underwear

  • Adventure Medical Kit #9
  • Extra 51cm x 18 cm roll of moleskin
  • Pack of pre-cut moleskin
  • A pack of 9 Corn cushions
  • 100 ml bottle of Muskol insect repellent
  • Deck of cards
  • 120 ml camp suds
  • Cactus Creek mesh bag
  • Toob travel tooth brush filled with  Sensodyne
  • Floss
  • Disposable razor
  • 30 ml sun tan lotion
  • Small bag of small zip lock bags
  • Bag of zip lock lunch bags
  • 12 clothespins
  • 20 M utility cord
  • Lip balm
  • 16 magic towels

  • Source 2L hydration pack
  • GoalZero solar charger a& battery pack (this is still in the testing phase)

Some of this will come out so I can wear it  and we know there are a few more thing to get but we are pretty much there. What’s left is mostly small things.  We need to put in our medicines (lots of Tylenol, blister cream and Imodium). We are waiting on our rain ponchos.  Michelle has a source who is getting those for us and will be the heaviest addition.  I have to get all the wires and chargers for the still to be backed camera, tablet and iphone.

I’m hovering around 22 lbs with a full water bladder so I think I’m still good. I hope to keep it to under 25 lbs.

Well that’s it for this post.

Buen Camino
