So my opinion is yes.
When Michelle bought them I thought I’d never use them.
The first few day they saved me a broken ankle a few times I’m sure. When the path goes to H E double hockey sticks it’s nice to have them for balance. It’s even nicer to have when that path is down hill.
I’ve also carried them a lot. Especially on the pavement. I don’t like the way our metal tips click as we walk. But I’ve been using them on the smooth gravel the last few day to keep my posture up and straight. Especially at the end of the day when my back is ready to give out.
We see lots of people with only one or none. Like everything on this trip it’s opinion. But do find them to be a pain when I want to take a picture. Got to find a place to lean them, even if its just against my leg (which then usually fall over). I’ve poked people while scratching my arm/face/armpit. Just something to keep in mind.
I’ll leave you with these thought while I head out to find some food.
