The Grapes of La Rioja

By on January 5, 2014

Ah, the grape and wine of the La Rioja province.  We walked through many Km’s of grape fields just before they were ready to pick. I think there was suppose to be some sort of festivals in September but we passed by a few days before they started.  I’m not much of a wine drinker here at home even though we have a world class wine region here in Southern Ontario. I don’t know what they did different but it was not as bitter as most red wines are. In fact, one afternoon my dear friend Alan and I drank 6 bottles before dinner and didn’t end up with hangovers.  It was a miracle for sure.  And I’m grateful too.  I don’t know how I would have walked the next day with a pounding head and upset tummy.

So yesterday I said I was going to wait to use Lightroom until after I started my course.  I got impatient and went onto youTube to watched a few videos and googled a few things. Here is my first published modified photo.  The original was taken at the height of midday and was pretty washed out. I enhanced the colours and cleaned up the shadows . I think it turned out much better.
