Shopping and Walking, Walking and Shopping

By on July 22, 2013

So my walking training continues, last weekend we walked 11 KM with full back packs, although I swear we walked 40 km. Flat walking and down hill, unfortunately my husband discovered that his hip hurt so much that we had to bus home, Whew I didn’t really want to walk back up the hill.

My shopping training contnues as well, we are almost ready, got the cool sleeping bag, jeff is trying his out in the photo,IMG00398-20130721-1452 as well as a silk liner to protect against bed bugs, mini pillow, shorts, pants and walking poles.

I will be excited to hear about the adventure during and after.
I will walk summer or fall 2015. My hope is that my husband can take that much time off. It would take me over 30 days (?). I may have to start without him and he can meet up… I will be interested in weather conditions when you go.
I was just hiking in Arizona and the Grand Canyon ( it nearly killed me). Over 100 degrees in higher altitude and I hadn’t trained enough.

I too will journal and photo during my journey. I had the same thought as you 🙂

We are planning on walking for about 32-33 days but we are not doing the whole thing we are walking from Pamplona to Santiago. We are leaving some days to stop and stay and extra night if needed.

      Good luck on your walk.
