What to do on a Road Trip to Washington DC?

Washington Road Trip in Two days!

The Oh What a Journey duo is doing a Washington road trip. That’s right husband and wife in a car for 8 hours. The first thing to do is map out the day. This way we don’t backtrack on any of our travelings. As you can see from our handy little map here our plan is to start at one end and make our way along to the other end.

I am so excited about our educational trip to Washington DC. Our plan is to see the Smithsonian museums, well at least two of them. We struggled over which two to see and probably chose the two most popular, Air and Space Museum and the Museum of Natural History as well as the National Zoo.

And just to make sure every minute of our day is booked.  We are also planning to see the Jefferson Memorial, the White House, the Reflecting Pool. As well as some gardens and the Smithsonian Castle.  Then when we have five minutes I am hoping to visit the National Library of Congress. Whew! All this is 2.5 days – challenge accepted!

We have a reservation at a steakhouse, Rays the Steaks will update on that one for sure along with any other food spots we find along the way.

Recommendations, anyone visited Washington and have something they think we should absolutely see or a restaurant we need to eat at, let us know.

Oh What a Journey!
