“Queens Bridge” – Puente La Reina, Spain.

This early morning photo is looking back at Puente La Reina on our second day.  This bridge was built specifically for medieval pilgrims by Doña Mayor, wife of Sancho III.

Just hidden out of view at the far end is an archway with a little courtyard containing a fountain.  A group of “Bici-greno” (one of the nicknames for bike riders on the Camino) were waiting there for something.  Unfortunately the angle was just not right to get a nice reflection of the building in the river. High grasses along the bank had to be cropped .

Adios.
