Lion on the Bridge

By on January 17, 2014

This statue was on the far side of the bridge leading into the Medieval Burgos. We had to look back the way we came to see it but it was pretty impressive.  The walk into Burgos is as bad as the book says. It’s the first real city you come to with a large industrial area before you get to the city proper.  I remember the walk into Logrono being through parks and nicer city streets.  We got lost coming into Burgos and finding the Medieval town was a great relief.  Just to the right of this, down the canal is the Hotel we stayed in with was modern and had a bathtub we soaked in for hours.  In reviewing our photos I’m surprised there are no pictures of our room or lobby. Oh well.
