Camino Healthcare an a Really Ugly Finger

By on September 18, 2013

Well, our walk turned boring for awhile so we thought we would check out the Camino Healthcare.

Camino Healthcare is the finest

We have seen some magnificent sunrises and the inside of two emergency clinics. My blistered foot healed up and then about four days ago I got bit by a spider. I am not sure how this happened or exactly where but what I thought was a sliver slowly got worse and worse. Which meant my hand turned red, purple and swelled to sausage size and hurt like nothing I have ever experienced. So went to the doctor first and got antibiotics for the infection. But the next day it was getting worse so went to an emergency hospital clinic who gave me a shot and some more drugs. Doing better now and am getting some motion back in my hand.

Which meant my hand turned red, purple and swelled to sausage size and hurt like nothing I have ever experienced. So went to the doctor in the first town, Sahagun and got antibiotics for the infection. But the next day it was getting worse so went to an emergency hospital clinic in the Mansilla. There they gave me a shot and some more drugs. but only enough for one night. I had to get up the next morning and take the bus directly to Leon.  This was the closest pharmacy. After the meds, I was doing better and am getting some motion back in my hand.

Other than that we are having a great time in Spain, but for anyone who thinks this is a great way to lose weight you would be wrong, my muffin top has turned to a bread belly. There is so much food here and really good wine. We are meeting people from all over the world and exchanging contacts. We have officially passed the halfway mark now and according to my calculations should arrive I Santiago on Oct 3.

Buen camino!

What my finger looks like getting better, still an ugly finger
