26 Days to go

By on August 3, 2013

Today’s entry is a quick one.

Today Michelle and I went to Mountain Equipment Co-op for a free “Backpack 101” session.  It was about an hour long and run by a young guy named Mat who was very knowledgeable about backpacking.

He talked about how to pack a bag properly and the sort of things you should have.  It was mainly for people who plan to backpack camp for a few days but he adapted it to our plans to hostel on our trip as needed.

Overall a good experience and I would suggest sitting in on a session if your a member since they are free.  Our greatest value was the opportunity to ask lots of questions of someone who had his experience in other countries.

Buen Camino.
